These whimsical headdresses are fantasy at its best. The pieces were inspired by indigenous cultures of the rain forest, Japanese punk rock, and aviation. Birds, patterns, bold color and woven elements are key throughout the headdresses. For comfort, the pieces were constructed of lightweight materials, such as: vinyl, synthetic hair and cording, while serving as visual eye candy. I juxtapose themes of nature with the synthetic materials that I use.
